Step-by-step guide to connect and configure external media players like Android Box, or Fire TV with Signmitra for digital signage.
Overview
Setting up an external signage media player to work with Signmitra allows you to display your content on large screens remotely. Follow these general steps to prepare your device and link it to your Signmitra account.
1. Choose Your Media Player:
- Confirm your device is compatible (Android Box, or Fire TV).
- Ensure it has internet connectivity (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
2. Prepare Your Device:
- Connect your media player to the display screen via HDMI.
- Power on the media player and complete any initial setup prompts.
3. Install the Signmitra Player App:
- Open the app store on your device (Google Play Store for Android devices, Amazon Appstore for Fire TV).
- Search for "Signmitra Player".
- Download and install the app.
4. Launch the Signmitra Player App:
- Open the app on your media player.
- You will see a pairing QR code or pairing code displayed.
5. Pair the Device with Your Signmitra Account:
- Log in to your Signmitra dashboard on your computer or mobile device.
- Navigate to "Devices Manager" > "Add Device".
- Use the pairing option to scan the QR code or enter the pairing code shown on your media player.
6. Assign Content and Schedule:
- Once paired, assign playlists or slides to your device.
- Schedule content playback as needed.
7. Verify Playback:
- Confirm that the content is displaying correctly on your screen.
